Drawing Room A cool blue faux panelling effect was the starting point in this sunny drawing room, oversized sofas were designed by Verity and made by her upholsterers to compliment the client's collection of antique furniture. In addition the clients had various contemporary accessories which were to be included in this space so the clean lines of the decoration enable them to fit in comfortably. Simple window treatments were designed by Verity so as not to interfere with the fantastic triple aspect views from this room.
Luxurious Bedroom
This bedroom is fairly small and gets little sun, so Verity chose not to fight nature but to use rich jewel colours with damask fabric walls and faux wood panelling. Verity knew that a richly carved four poster bed would be perfect for the room, using embroidered velvet and net panels instead of traditional heavy drapes.
"Marbled" Bathroom
A black bathroom might sound dull and dingy, however Verity has designed a black marble effect with silver veins on the walls offset by white sanitary ware, white marble tiles all surround the bath which gives this bathroom an unusual and opulent effect. Country Kitchen
A large country kitchen may be a lot of people's dream, but when it's this big careful design must be implemented so as to create a welcoming space that also works for the cook. A work island was designed by Verity so as to give a reduced "work triangle" essential for a good kitchen; opposite the Aga in the island is a sink and a larder fridge, elsewhere there are two further sinks and a large American style Fridge Freezer. The doors on the work island have been given an antiqued painted finish to act as a foil for the oak doors in the rest of the kitchen.
Country Rose Bedroom This bedroom has been designed as a traditional country house bedroom with a twist. So as not to make this room too feminine with the dusky rose theme Verity has used a tweed style fabric lined with a funky stripe for the bed drapes. She has incorporated her clients' collection of exotic shells in an informal arrangement of vases on the windowsill and sourced antique and upholstered furniture for the room.
